Johnson, Joe Robert Unfiltered Opinions, Universally Missed. Joe Johnson, 37, of Minneapolis passed unexpectedly on Saturday, July 10th. Born June 7th, 1984, Joe was a prolific creative with broad interests and an insatiable appetite for learning. After graduating with a double major from the University of Minnesota, Joe harnessed his many talents to build his own business and brand with the PurplePTSD Sports blog. Joe later expanded on his success by purchasing Vikings Territory, where he worked to inspire a new generation of sports writers. An industry leader and popular personality, Joe shared his voice through blogging, podcasts and radio appearances. Joe found delight in a debate and revelled in the chance to fiercely defend his position. Joe was a loved son, uncle and brother. He will be missed by all who knew him as a friend, colleague and writer. Survived by parents Becky and Bob Johnson, Sister Stephanie (Mike) Woldum and nieces Emme and Josie. Preceded in death by many grandparents and uncles who can now enjoy his stories.
