Tiffany, Bradley Kent was born January 5, 1973, to Karen and Harold Tiffany in River Falls, WI. He died peacefully while in hospice care in St. Paul during the early morning hours of June 13. In addition to his parents, Brad is survived by his sister Jill (Michael) Partin and niece Leia Million of Marion, lowa. Brad was educated in the River Falls Public Schools, and he continued his studies at Carleton College, where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in physics. He went on and earned a MSEE degree from the College of Engineering at the University of Minnesota. Brad loved mathematics and the physical sciences, but he equally enjoyed solving hands-on projects, too, especially those found in a woodworking shop or an electronics lab. Brad never traveled beyond the borders of the United States, but he became a cultural world traveler through his deep interests in the food, music, and film of many countries and ethnicities. An ideal weekend might have found him volunteering at Habitat for Humanity, coming home to a hotly spiced Asian recipe, and then heading out to a seat at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Fest or one in the Cedar Cultural Center where a Celtic band might be playing that night. The small-town boy never failed to impress his mother with his ability to navigate the streets and trails of the Twin Cities, leading the way on his Surly Cross Check bicycle while she pedaled furiously to keep up. Emily Dickinson presaged the consciousness of Brad's life with lines written over 100 years before his birth. "This is my letter to the World That never wrote to me. The simple news that Nature told With tender majesty. Her message is committed To hands I cannot see. For love of Her-Sweet-countrymen Judge tenderly of me." A private memorial for Brad Tiffany will be scheduled for a later date.
