Dahl, Philip Calvin "Phil" 92, of New Brighton, took his last breath on Earth and joined hands with the love of his life, Gladys on June 3, 2021. Phil was born to Martin and Marie Dahl on February 1, 1929. He grew up in NE Minneapolis. He married Gladys (nee Grant) at age 25 in Minneapolis. He worked in building maintenance for the Mounds View school district for 30+ years until his retirement. He was a veteran of Korea and served in the Army. He was always tinkering around in the garage, or working on a car in the driveway. When he wasn't working on something outside or in the house, he was on his bicycle, riding up until the very end. Another one of his hobbies included watching old movies, over the years he developed a collection of hundreds of VHS tapes. Phil wasn't a fan of the long Minnesota goodbye, often leaving family gatherings without saying a word. He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. Phil is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Gladys; parents, Martin and Marie; siblings, Edna, Orval, Ruby and David. Phil is survived by his daughter, Jacquelyn (James) Sandidge; grandchildren, Ryan (Jackie) Lohonen and Robyn (Gaurav) Guliani; step-grand-children, Paul Padratzik (Debra Asplund), Lindsey (Matt) Schifsky, Sarah (Casey) Lebens; great-grand-children Dilan and Gavin Guliani; step-great-grandchildren, Quentin & Lydia Padratzik, Talon & Kaia Schifsky, Silas & Isla Lebens; along with many nieces and nephews.
