Clemons, Jane Bennighof Age 91, of Plymouth, MN, was welcomed into heaven on May 30, 2021. She was a sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and forever friend (dating way back to the age of 16 months) who is missed so very much. As a young adult Jane was trained by the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft plotter, volunteering for Operation Skywatch during the Cold War. As a number-lover, she was a Bookkeeper by trade. After having a family of her own Jane became passionate about helping children and was a volunteer member of the Minnesota Association for Children with Learning Disabilities. Jane always encouraged our creativity, curiosity, and imagination. She was crowned a Master Chef by her family and her highly coveted recipes will live on forever. She was an avid gardener and had a sincere love for feeding and watching all the different birds in her yard. Jane was down to earth and genuine. She had a smile that would warm the entire room and the most contagious giggle. We are sure she is still playing cards in heaven and beating everyone in a good game of Gin Rummy. Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; great granddaughter, Ella Marie Thompson; parents, Elizabeth and Arthur Bennighof; brother, Robert and sister-in-law Alice; sisters, Florence Goliath and Charlotte Malinowski; niece, Maggie Malinowski and great nephew Brian Bennighof. She is dearly missed and survived by children, John, Joan Holker, and Judy Waldrep; grandchildren, Andrew Melin (Amanda), Sarah Thompson (Matthew), and Aaron Waldrep and great grandchild, Hailey Anne Thompson. Also survived by her very loved nieces, nephews, and childhood friends. Jane will rest with her family at Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis. Close family will gather privately. Our wish; if you were touched in life by Jane, please take a moment to share a close memory of her with someone you love and please remember her in a prayer.
