Erickson, Barbara Barth Age 92, born May 24, 1928 Dickinson, ND. Died April 14, 2021 in Brooklyn Park, MN. Preceded in death by husband, Maynard; parents, Heironymus and Pauline (Doll) Barth; siblings, Caroline, Harry, and Eugene: son-in-law, Charles Frederick Unmack. Survived by children, Judith (Jay West), Patricia, Linda Weber (Robert), Bernice Gillespie (John), Jonathan (Stacey Roelofs), and Nancy: grandchildren, Nicholas, Emma, and Nora West, Megan Gillespie, and Eli Erickson: great-grandchildren, Theodore and Quinn West: siblings, Magdalen Oien, Reynold Barth, Bertha Ladwig, Violet Stoops, Eva Potter, Robert Barth, and Richard (Barbara) Barth. Barb lived most of her life in Minnesota but always thought of herself as a North Dakota farm girl. She spoke German at home and English in the one room schoolhouse she attended. If Barbara had grown up in a different place or time she might have been an interior decorator or party planner, but as it was she put her considerable energy into raising her six children. She also worked twelve years at Minnesota Fabrics and nine years at St. Bridget Catholic Church. She did volunteer work with Our Lady of Victory Church, the Brooklyn Center Women's Club, and the Palmer Lake VFW Auxiliary. Thank you to the whole staff at Tradition Senior Living, and especially at the end to Martina and Saheed for their attentive and kind care. Instead of flowers, memorial gifts preferred to the Life Enrichment fund at Tradition Senior Living in Brooklyn Park, MN. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 on April 24 at Our Lady of Victory Church. Inurnment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
