Anderson, Verne John (7/18/1927 -2/18/2021) Extraordinary husband, father, friend, teacher, artist, human being; lover of birds, dogs, forests, Lewis Carroll, Arthurian legends, philosophy & ice cream, died at home in Minneapolis, Feb.18, after a short illness. His puppets, toys, woodblock prints are in evidence all around the US, in England & Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents Evangeline Fisher & John V. Anderson, his brother Bob Anderson & brother-in-law Jim Lytle. Still here longing for his company are his wife, Marilyn, his daughter Gretchen, son-in-law Clint Hoover, Sue Moses, Scott Anderson, his Fisher & Anderson cousins, the entire Coleman family & Lorenzo Grump. Verne graduated from Southwest High School (1947) & the University of MN (MA, MFA); taught art in the Hopkins Schools for 36 years; produced art in his St Paul studio and in his spare time volunteered his talents at the U of M bird nursery and the Science Museum of MN.
