Carlson, Mary Lucille Age 92 of Roseville, formerly Arden Hills, passed away December 27, 2020. Preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Ethel Carlson. Survived by friends, neighbors, cousins, and godchild, Sara Ryan. Mary Lu was a proud independent career woman. She worked with Ford Motors for 40 years. When meeting Mary Lu for the first time, she would always let her new acquaintance know that she was the first woman Traffic Manager for Ford Parts. She had such good memories of working with Ford and of course a fondness for Ford vehicles. Mary Lu was born and grew up in the small farming community of Hawley, MN. She was an only child, but grew up surrounded by aunts, uncles, and cousins who contributed to a very happy childhood. She had fond memories and spoke often of her growing up years. Mary Lu made a very smooth transition from her small town childhood to being an independent career woman who lived and worked in Seattle, Washington and Minneapolis for Ford Motors. She enjoyed traveling the United States and the World with friends throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed her retirement years living at Arden Hills, where she met and maintained life long friendships with many of her neighbors. In retirement she became active with her church, Centennial United Methodist of Roseville, MN. She enjoyed playing bridge and driving neighbors and friends to their destinations in her Ford vehicles. Her love of dogs also helped her meet and maintain new friendships. Mary Lu never met a dog she did not like, and dogs returned her mutual affection. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
