Faunce-Zimmerman, The Reverend Susan beloved mother, wife and minister, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2020 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She was an avid reader, gardener, maker of pies, and friend to all who knew her. She found great joy in her family and in her ministry, both of which benefited from her warmth, compassion and faith. She was born Susan Vaughn Hass in Omaha, Nebraska on January 29, 1939 to Victor and Gladys Hass. She graduated from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa and lived throughout the Midwest, settling in Saint Paul with her family. She received a Master of Divinity from the United Theological Seminary and was an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. Susan and her second husband the Reverend Jim Faunce-Zimmerman were co-pastors in UCC congregations in Iowa and Northern Minnesota. She was happiest connecting to people in her community through her ministry and spending time at their cherished lake cabin in northwest Wisconsin. Susan is survived by her husband Jim; sons Jeff Faunce (Amy McClellan), David Faunce (Renae); step-children James Zimmerman, Jr., Kelly Zimmerman, Shane Zimmerman (Keri), Eric Zimmerman (Angie); numerous grandchildren and brother Paul Hass (Jackie) and their family. She was predeceased by her brother Christopher Hass. A celebration of the Reverend Susan Faunce-Zimmerman's life will happen when friends and family can safely gather in 2021. In lieu of flowers, Susan would love friends and family to spread wildflower seeds in a favorite spot. Memorial contributions may be made in Susan's memory to the Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association: alz.org/…
