Paul, Pamela Therese Pamela Paul, 83, passed away on, Sunday, November 1 at The Commons on Marice Senior Living Community in Eagan, Minnesota. She was born August 30, 1937 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Russ and Marion Douglas and was the oldest of 12 children! She married James Thomas Carroll on June 24, 1961 with whom they had four children, Shelley (Mike) Nelson, Greg (Rebecca) Carroll, Tom (Brenda Christiansen) Carroll, and Kevin Carroll. She later married Cyril Lancelot Paul on July 18, 2000. Surviving their older sister Pam, are her 11 siblings, Marlyn Douglas, Lynn (Virginia) Douglas, Gary Douglas, Jay Douglas, Teri Douglas, Jeanne Douglas, Don (Rani) Douglas, Deb (Lee) Emery, Tim (Janie) Douglas, Kim (Ken) Dotson, and Mark (Nikki) Douglas. Pam loved and also leaves behind her step daughters Nerrissa Williams and Jessica Stanton as well as grandchildren Carly, Emily, Cameron, Ashley, Nicholas, Breanna, Joseph, Jacqueline, Danielle, Hallesha, Joshua, Nehemiah and many nieces and nephews. Pam is preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Russ as well as the father of her children, Jim Carroll. While in Mankato, Pam opened and ran the family business "The Cheese Chalet" at the Mankato Mall in the 1980's as well as the Carroll Insurance Agency and several other family businesses. Later, Pam moved to the Twin Cities where she was employed as the office manager for Tee Jet Spraying Systems. She became an active member of St. Joan of Arc parish and loved to help plan the annual Cabaret which for many years, her husband Cyril performed in. Coffee with friends before mass each Sunday was one of her favorite things to do. Pam was also a huge support to Cyril's band, The Calypso Monarch's and was their lead "groupie". Volunteering was another important part of Pam's life and she always did whatever she could to help anyone in need. Most important to Pam were her family and extended family. She thrived on being a grandma! Pam also loved to travel, visiting countries all over Europe as well as Mexico, and Trinidad. Well-traveled, Pam's favorite place was Lake Byllesby in Cannon Falls where she made many fantastic memories with her large family and friends. Pam loved a good party! The best way to celebrate her joyfully, will be in person, sometime in the coming months. A celebration of life will take place in the summer of 2021. Pam's children would like to thank the Commons on Marice staff and Brighton Hospice, for the excellent care and love they provided during the last years of her journey with Alzheimer's.
