Hansen, Margaret "Peggy" 96, resident SW Mpls/Edina. Preceded in death by parents Herman and Ragnhild Sandstrom; husband, Merrill Hansen. Beloved mother. Survived by daughter, Carol; son Marvin (Melissa). Graduated Mpls. Central High ('42); Mpls School of Business. US Navy Waves '44-'46. Retired Mpls. Public Schools. Past Commander Richfield Legion Post 435. Active in VA Hospital Volunteers, Mpls. Armed Forces Service Ctr, 10,000 Lakes Waves National, Women Veterans of MN, Order of the Eastern Star, Ladies of the Shrine, Ronald McDonald House. Long-time member Mount Olivet Lutheran Church. She and her husband enjoyed traveling with their camper seeing the USA. She was a knitter, a cribbage player, and a strong supporter of America's veterans and voters' rights. Her stories, sense of humor and sound of her laughter will be sorely missed. Family is grateful for loving, faithful care provided by Grace Hospice. Private interment Fort Snelling Cemetery.
