Minnetti, Caryl Annis 12/21/1936 - 09/25/2020 Caryl Minnetti, of Bloomington, MN, laid down her earthly burdens on September 25, 2020, at her home in Founder's Ridge Assisted Living. Caryl was born to Richard & Annis Witters in Kalamazoo, MI on December 21, 1936. She was a loving "older sister" to her only sibling, Susan. Caryl was preceded in death by her parents, her brother-in-law, Dave Keiffer, and her former husband, Carlo Minnetti. Her surviving family includes her sister, Susan Keiffer, her nephew, Todd Phillips (Janine) and his children, Megan Knight (James) and Noah Phillips, and her niece, Lisa Atkins and her children, Katherine Atkins, Sarah Idema (Michael), Erik Boussum, and one great-nephew, Elliot Idema. She also leaves behind her very special friend, John Thomson, who enriched her last years immensely. Caryl was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central HS (1954) and received her BA from Western Michigan University (1958), and she completed her MA in Education from the University of Minnesota (1988). Caryl began teaching French at the High School level when she moved to Minnesota and she taught over 30 years in Minneapolis, Golden Valley and Hopkins school districts. Caryl helped broadcast "Bonjour Minnesota" on KFAI for many years and was a loyal member of Transfiguration Lutheran Church in Bloomington. Caryl's Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at 11:00 am Central via Livestream from the TLC website (tlcmn.com/…). Interment will occur in Kalamazoo, MI, at a later date.
