Heiges, Patrick Wendall was born in Minneapolis on July 27th, 1926, the only child of David and Eleanor (Braden) Heiges. Pat attended St. Charles Borromeo grade school, and Minneapolis Edison & De LaSalle High Schools. He was a World War II veteran, radio announcer, bread-truck driver, Bakery Drivers Union member, husband, and father of four. He passed away on September 20, 2020 surrounded by his kids.

Pat was gregarious and knew how to be a good friend. His life's work involved working on the startup of St. Alphonsus Church in Brooklyn Center and St Gerard’s Church in Brooklyn Park. But he was most proud of supporting the startup of Totino Grace High School, where he helped develop their primary fundraiser (Sno Daze), became President of the School Board, and was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame for his many contributions. In later years, Pat and his wife Marie split their time between Minneapolis and Mesa, Arizona. Pat loved being retired, traveling and making new friends along the way.

Pat is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marie; children Michael (Cecilia), Kathleen (David), Teresa (Randy), and James (Sheilagh); grandchildren Nathan, Nicole, Moira, Ross, Katie, Patrick, and Michael; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Thanks to the Autumn Glen staff and care givers for their endless support, Able Care Connect Home Health Care and finally at the end, St. Croix Hospice for making him comfortable and guiding us, his kids, through his final days.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made in Pat’s name to Totino Grace High School.
