Anderson, Grace Marie of Champlin was born April 2nd 1939 and passed away peacefully, while surrounded by her family on September 9th 2020 at the age of 81. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard; daughter, Karla (Jay) Anderson; and grandchildren, Kirsten (Bill), Guy, Jason; great grandchild, Kasen; daughter, Kelly (Kent) Soppeland and grandchildren, Marissa (Ben) and Nick; son, Mark (Sue) Anderson and grandchildren, Jimmy and Tommy; her puppy, Sammy; along with many close friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Clara Schroeder; brothers, Ray and Dick. Grace was born and raised in Ivanhoe, Minnesota. She attended Winona State University for Elementary Education where she met the love of her life. Richard and Grace married on June 23rd and have spent 58 years together. They were the perfect match. In addition to being a cherished wife and mother, Grace worked as a schoolteacher her whole life, she had a passion for Art and was a very talented painter. She loved fashion, traveling, summers on Leech Lake and winters in Texas. Grace had very strong faith and spent any free time she had praying and talking to God. She will be missed for her ear that was always there to listen, her advice when you wanted it and her love when you needed it most. We will carry her in our hearts forever. A private funeral service will be held in the upcoming days. A celebration of life will take place in April for friends and relatives. More info will be provided on a later date.
