Anibal, John Warner 94, of Arden Hills, passed away surrounded by his family on Aug. 15, 2020. John was born on August 19, 1925 to Claude E. and Nancy C. (Moore) Anibal in Columbus, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946 and was a veteran of WWII where he served in the European and Pacific Theaters. Upon his return, he attended The Ohio State University, where he received a degree in industrial engineering. On July 7, 1951, he married Patricia Frances McNickle in Minneapolis. John was an engineer to the core, eager to fix, invent, and problem solve during any spare moment. He will be remembered as being gregarious and kind, always ready with a helping hand. He was a traveler, skier, sailor, jokester, ice cream aficionado, and with wife Patricia, ballroom and square dancer. John loved sharing his passion for model railroading and created many large and detailed layouts for the Labina Line. He will be sadly missed by his wife Patricia; children Barbara Anibal Turgeon (Gary), James Anibal, Robert Anibal (Kim Leiter); grandchildren Anna Turgeon, Noel Turgeon, and Alex Anibal; and friends Mary Turgeon, Mark & Kath Turgeon, and Megan Telzrow.
