McNeely, Barbara Ann Cunningham Stensgaard Barb was born on March 18, 1951 in Minneapolis, MN and went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2020 after a stroke. She is preceded in death by father, Harry Martin Cunningham; mother, Ruth Dorothy Lindquist; stepfather, Harold Boyer; and first husband, Roger Stanley Stensgaard. She is survived by husband, Douglas Crawford McNeely; stepson, Sean McNeely; stepdaughter, Lea McNeely Pickford, son-in-law Scott Pickford, grandsons Caleb Pickford and Milo Pickford, granddaughter Alana Pickford; brother, Gary Cunningham (wife Beverly); Godchildren, Matthew Cunningham, Megan Cunningham Giersdorf, Shannon Cunningham and Kyndall Krog; and many nieces and nephews. Barb grew up in South Minneapolis and attended Minneapolis Central High School. She worked at Methodist Nursing Home during high school and while attending Metropolitan State College. She started working for LaBelle's Catalog Showroom for 21 years after which time it was acquired by Best Products out of Richmond, VA. Barb had a career in Information Technology, programming, telecommunication and quality control. Her next employment was Best Buy in IT starting the new Quality Control Department where she would verify and validate all new computer applications. She remained at Best Buy/Accenture for 22 years. In 2008, Barb started working with Doug as partner Collateral Auditor for McNeely Financial Services, Inc for 11 years. She recently retired at the end of 2019. Barb would love to spend time with all her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and she would seem to make all children part of her life. She felt that it takes a village to raise children and she was apart of it. She would always try to attend all programs, concerts, debates, games and special days for her grandchildren. Being a part of their lives was number 1. She also enjoyed volunteering at Methodist Hospital/Park Nicollet clinic for 6 years and was a member of Mended Hearts and Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) of Minnesota. Being a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church was extremely important to Barb and her wish is for memorials to be given to Bethlehem in her memory. Barb wishes for you not to mourn for her, but to celebrate all of the years you were together and looks forward to seeing all of you in heaven. Public visitation will be held at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel from 4-7pm on Friday, August 7, 2020. Per invitation only, Private Celebration of Life will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church (BLCTC) Minneapolis campus, 4100 South Lyndale Avenue, Minneapolis, MN at 11am Saturday August 8, 2020. The Celebration of Life will be live streamed on the church's website. Everyone is invited to the burial to follow at Acacia Park Cemetery, 2151 Pilot Know Road, Mendota Heights, MN at 12:30 pm.
