Corrick, Robert "Bob" 73, of Minneapolis died peacefully at his Minneapolis home on July 24, 2020 from complications of a rare, aggressive cancer. Bob is survived by his wife, Beth Parkhill; sisters Molly Corrick, Rose Corrick, and Kim Corrick; brother Patrick (Deann) Corrick; brothers-in-law John Parkhill, Robert (Dennice Briol) Parkhill, Bruce (Liz) Powell, Bob Powell, and John (Lindsey) Powell, sisters-in-law Kelly Parkhill and Julie (Andrew) MacKenzie; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law Helen Parkhill; sister-in-law Judith Parkhill; and brothers-in-law Adam Parkhill and Tom Parkhill. Bob was born in Washington, DC to Virginia (Barsalou) Corrick and William Corrick. He grew up in New Hope, MN on a hobby farm where he rode his horse and raised collies with his family. He received an MBA in finance from the University of MN and enjoyed a successful career in investment banking and finance until he retired at age 46. After that, he dedicated himself to urban planning and community engagement. An avid biker, he was proud to serve as board president of the Midtown Greenway Coalition. He also served on the boards of the Cedar Isles Dean Neighborhood Association (CIDNA) and Tours (France)-Minneapolis Sister Cities. For two decades Bob worked with Beth on her social enterprise efforts, including the MN Fringe Festival, Outsiders & Others Gallery, Mentor Planet and Mobility 4 All. Bob and Beth met at Wells Fargo and married in 1985. His three other loves were nature, food and France. He enjoyed the cabin they built in Northern Minnesota. After traveling to France over many years, in 2006, they bought a 15th and 19th century home in a small village in the Loire Valley wine country. Bob spent many happy years restoring it, while also enjoying the open markets, their many friends, and the French traditions of savoring food and everyday life. Bob had an incredible smile; nothing brought it out like the ultimate experience of watching his organic winemaking village friends savor his cooking. Per Bob's wishes no services will be held. In honor of Bob's love of wild nature, memorials may be directed to Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness at friends-bwca.org/
