Hodgson, Thomas Kent "Kent" passed away May 27, 2020 at the age of 86. Kent was born on July 7, 1933 to Ruth Hodgson (Kent) and Thomas Hodgson in Minneapolis, MN. Kent is remembered as a kind, thoughtful, and insightful man. He enjoyed photography, baseball, and any movie or book about WW2. He loved the people and animals of Africa as evidenced by embarking on many African safaris Kent graduated from Edina High School in 1951. Upon graduation he entered the Dominican Novitiate in Winona, MN and was ordained a Dominican Priest. He served in various cities during his priesthood including New Orleans, Chicago, and Denver. Kent was a man of his convictions and caused a mild uproar when he preached against the Vietnam War. He left the priesthood in 1969. He earned a Master's degree in counseling from the University of Colorado and a Ph.D. in business and psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. Kent moved to the Twin Cities and worked for Wilson Learning, Cardinal Stritch University and the Minneapolis Star Tribune. He wrote a nationally published book, "Between A Rock and a Hard Place: How to Make Ethical Business Decisions When the Choices are Tough". Kent is survived by his life partner of 18 years, Pat Zimmerman, Pat's children and grandchildren, and cousins from the Hodgson, Kidder, and Lohmann families. He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved sister Ann Hodgson.
