Strande, Paul Jorgen Age 66, of Lakeville, passed away peacefully on May 31. Beloved husband of Mary King Strande, Glenview, Illinois, for 22 years. Devoted father of Taylor Strande (Sarah Townsend) and loving grandfather of Eloise. Survived by sister Linda Strande, brother John Strande, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Hartvig and Margaret (nee Winden) Strande. Paul grew up in Minneapolis and at the age of seven began to golf, becoming a child prodigy in the sport. He attended the University of Minnesota on a golf scholarship, where he was a team Captain and Letterman. He was also an avid skier, speed skater, and traveler. Paul was an accomplished PGA Teaching Professional for 30 years and invited to compete in numerous national golf tournaments. He was the inventor of the Impact Trac, and director of teaching programs at multiple golf courses. He was passionately involved with the Junior League golf program, helping children achieve their goals. He will be fondly remembered by his family, friends, and colleagues for being an avid Minnesota sports fan, his quick wit, kind heart and beautiful smile.
