Marsh, Corey Dean "Big Buddy", family man, pulled pork connoisseur and basketball fanatic passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20th in Tucson, Arizona after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 49. Corey was born September 7, 1970 to Larry and Carole Marsh and grew up playing in the corn fields near his home in Maple Grove. He played various sports in elementary school but excelled and developed a passion for basketball (yes, he could dunk!) in high school. After graduating from Osseo High School in 1989, Corey took business classes for one year at North Hennepin Community College before earning a degree in heating and air conditioning from Dunwoody Industrial Institute. He worked at Marsh Heating & Air Conditioning as a service technician for three years before managing the service department for the next twenty-five plus years. Corey is survived by his wife and love of his life, Kim ("Little Buddy"), children Emily and Evan, British lab puppy Ollie, brother Kelly (Sherry) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Corey will be remembered for his infectious laugh and sense of humor. He was techy, a problem solver and always willing to lend a hand. In his free time, he enjoyed deer hunting, trap shooting, fishing, playing Shanghai and smoking pork. Corey's number one priority was his family. He spent countless hours coaching basketball for both Emily and Evan. Certain games caused more gray hair, but he loved every second of it! Corey's love of chocolate was passed down to Emily. He knowingly let her eat all the hot fudge out of the sundaes they shared -- quite a sacrifice! He was also immensely proud to be one of the trap and skeet coaches for his son Evan. He spoiled Kim with jawbreakers and surprise tubes of lip gloss. He will forever be missed. A celebration of Corey's life will take place at a later date.
