Vomhof, Carroll Gene Age 85, of Minnetonka. Passed away on May 6, 2020 of COVID-19. Carroll was born in Aberdeen, SD on May 28, 1934 to Reverend Amandus Vomhof and Augusta Siewert Vomhof. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1957-1960. He earned his bachelor, master, and doctorate degrees from the University of Minnesota. He spent his career in education most notably as Director of Community Education in the Robbinsdale Public School District for 29 years. He volunteered countless hours at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in New Hope, MN and at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Minneapolis. Survived by loving wife, Judy; daughters, Paula Stanberry and Amy Junko (Tim) and son, Jon; mother of his children, Patricia Cummings. Grandchildren, Kelsey (Kyle), Miranda (Brandon), Quinn, Brady, Jae and Mya. Sister Arlene Murray and brother Walt. Many nieces, nephews & friends. Preceded in death by father, mother, brother Jim (Pat), brother-in-law Loren Murray and sister-in-law Marge. Special thanks to Jill and Mo and all the staff at Trails of Orono for taking such loving care of Carroll. A private service for family will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Minneapolis. A diehard Gopher fan until the end. SKI-U-MAH! RAH!
