Crescioni, Francisco Antonio IV Francisco Antonio Crescioni IV, affectionately known as "Frank the Tank", passed away Friday, May 1st 2020 at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota due to complications of COVID-19. He was 62 years old. Son of the late Francisco "Frank" Antonio Crescioni III and Maria De Los Angeles Soto, he was born on July 5, 1957 in New York, NY. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Catherine "Cathy" Brown Crescioni; dedicated son, Francisco "Frankie" Antonio Crescioni V; daughter-in-law Samantha Fonteyne-Crescioni; brothers and sisters: Ana Maria Crescioni, Paul Crescioni, Carlos Crescioni, and sister-in-law Geri Crescioni; niece and nephews, Alex Crescioni, Andria Crescioni, and PJ Crescioni. The family members that predeceased Frank, were the late: Frank Crescioni, Maria Barrios (Soto), Pete Berrios, and brother Danny Crescioni. Frank grew up in New York, NY till his adolescence, and moved with his family across country to Santa Monica, California. Growing up, he loved to surf with his best friend Keith Wilbur and went to UCLA for additional math classes while attending Santa Monica High School. Frank graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York with a Bachelor of Science in June of 1979. In 1980, he was stationed in the Panama Canal Zone. He met Cathy Brown while stationed in Panama City, Panama, and they were married in September of 1981. They then moved to California, and were stationed there for two years. In late 1982, he and Cathy moved to Fort Benning. Their son Frankie was born within the Fort Benning Hospital, in February of 1984. In 1988, he left the United States Army as a Captain, and accepted a job with Honeywell as a Logistic Engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They transitioned into their new home in Champlin, Minnesota, and raised their son there. In 1990, Honeywell spun off a defense portion of their business, which became known as Alliant Techsystems (ATK). In 2015, ATK merged with Orbital Sciences and was then known as Orbital ATK. He continued with the company, as a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer. In 2018, Orbital ATK was acquired by Northrop Grumman and he was actively working for them till the end. Throughout the 32 years with the company, he made dear friends and colleagues. Frank was a dedicated husband, father, and father-in-law. He was an avid pen collector and seller, a movie lover, record and tape collector, with a wide variety of tastes. His family, friends, classmates, and colleagues meant the world to him. A Celebration of Life will be held for Frank in the future. Till then, cheers.
