Anderson, Lucille L. Lucille was 94 years old when she succumbed to the COVID-19 virus in a nursing home on April 29, 2020. Born to Andrew and Ruth Majors on March 29, 1926, Lucille was best known to her family and friends as Ludy. Lucille graduated from North High School, and she also received her BA from the University of Minnesota and her MSW from Boston College. She was married to Clyde M Anderson for five years. Lucille's employment history included: being an assembly line worker at Honeywell Hospital, a maid, an elevator operator, a nurse's aide at Hennepin County, a receptionist, a sickle cell counselor in Boston, a social worker and a New York City probation officer. Lucille is survived by her daughter Alberteen H. Anderson, of New York, son Corrie T.M. Anderson, MD, FAAP and wife Virginia E. Williams II-Anderson, BA of Seattle and daughter Cydnae Anderson of Minneapolis who lovingly cared for both her parents in their final days. Grandchildren include Marc A. Majors, MPS, JD of Minneapolis, Virginia E Williams III-Anderson, MPH of Seattle, WA, Chase T. M. Anderson, MS, MD of Boston, great-grandson Savoy Davis-Hardy of Minneapolis, eight nieces and nephews, a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. Lucille will be remembered for her thirst for knowledge, fierce love for her family, Northside pride, and love of children.
