Hanson (Jamieson), Patricia Christine After a courageous battle with cancer, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Patricia Christine Hanson, died at the age of 76 on January 16, 2020 surrounded by family in her home in Estero, Florida. Pat was born on February 4, 1943 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and grew up in the town of Stephen in northwestern Minnesota. It was here she met her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Walter. They moved to Eagan, Minnesota in 1965 where they lived until 2001. They retired to their lake home in Emily, Minnesota and wintered in Estero, Florida. Pat loved their winter paradise, and family and friends were frequent visitors over the past 16 years. Pat was a registered nurse and worked at Abbot Northwestern Hospital from 1965-1985. She went on to start her own discharge consulting company, and ended her career working as a healthcare consultant for the Minnesota Medical Association. She was an avid gardener and painter, loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and was passionate about her dogs. During her retirement, Pat could be found in her flower garden or at her easel painting garden and lake scenes. She is survived by Walter, her husband of 57 years, children Anne Hanson (Kenn) of Denmark, Heather Haglund (John) of Shakopee, and John Hanson (Jennifer) of Lakeville. She is also survived by grandchildren Christine, Oliver, Jack, Max, Gracie and Carly, and sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, friends and loyal dog Bandit. Pat's body was donated to science. A memorial will be held at noon on May 1, 2020 at the Savage Environmental Learning Center at 13550 Dakota Ave. S in Savage, Minnesota 55378. Memorials preferred.
