Rodi, Marlyn 83, passed away on Oct. 11, 2019 at Wellstead of Rogers. Known to friends as "Rodi," Marlyn was born May 18, 1936 in Benson, MN to Victor and Victoria Rodi. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the early 1950s before moving to California and working as an artist for more than 20 years. Marlyn had a passion for the arts and loved music, photography, dancing and painting. He was always happy and very outgoing and loved to tell stories. He was happiest when traveling and dancing the tango with his beloved long-time companion, Nancy Downey. In addition to Nancy, he was preceded in death by his parents and sister Rlou. He is survived by brothers Don (Marlys), Jim (Virgie), and Virgil; sister Vicki Wermager (Bob); several nieces and nephews; and Nancy's children, Tiffany, Bridget, Crystalyn and Scott, and their families and grandchildren. Celebration of Life: 11 a.m., October 31, 2019, with visitation at 10:30 am, Vine Church, 3244 22nd Ave., Minneapolis. Lunch to follow. Interment: 2 pm, Fort Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Ave. S., Bloomington. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
