Denman, Walter Ross III "Nick" It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nick Denman, age 60. Born December 4, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Nick passed away on February 25th in Costa Rica doing what he most enjoyed, travelling the world. His passion was exploring distant locations and cultures. Nick graduated from Edina East high school in 1977. In college, Nick studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and travelled with the Semester At Sea program visiting Japan, China, India, Egypt, Greece and Spain. After graduating with honors, he continued his travels for a year exploring the Far East, the Middle East and Europe. He continued to travel whenever possible, throughout the rest of his life. Nick later returned to school earning a masters degree in Environmental Life Science which led to a successful career creating and managing the Environmental Department for the Eden Prarie School District until his retirement in 2013. He also enjoyed the arts, studying and performing improvisation with the Dudley Riggs Theater and later reviewed current plays in Minneapolis. His sense of humor, quick wit and creativity will never be forgotten by family and friends. Nick is preceded in death by his father, Walter Denman Jr.. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Denman, sisters Linda (Vern) Kaufman, Patti Parker, brother James (Katherine) Denman, niece Jenna Parkhill and nephews Taylor DiTallo and Steven and Nicholas Parker. Nick touched the lives of many and made the world a brighter place with his presence. He will be missed and will live on in our hearts forever. A celebration of life will be held in his honor at a later date, yet to be determined. A memorial service will be held Friday April 12 11 am at Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina. Lunch will follow.
