Corneliuson, Carl Anthony "Tony" Age 87 of Hopkins, MN. Passed away December 20th, 2018 surrounded by family. Survived by sons Carl (Kim), John and daughter Camille (Shaun) Flanagan and granddaughters Lara, Cate, Sarah and Sophie. Preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Margaret Louise (ne Campbell) and his brother John both in 2007. Growing up in Ishpeming, MI., Carl considered himself a lifelong Michiganer. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in Metallurgical Engineering and was a proud member of SAE fraternity. He was a passionate sports fan, especially for his Wolverines. Carl spent his career working in the steel industry. A Korean era veteran who served as an officer in the Army CIC. Living and working in Milwaukee, where he met Maggie and they married. He moved his family from the Chicago area, where he was working for Ryerson, to Minneapolis in 1965 and bought the house in which he and Maggie would raise their family. He resided in this home for 52 years. Carl enjoyed golf at Albion Ridges into his 80's and could occasionally shoot his age. He liked to do the daily crossword and Sudoku in pen. He was proud of his 49 years of sobriety. Carl was a proud grandfather of his grandchildren and adored them. He was always up for a visit or attending their events. He will be buried together with his wife in Waukon, IA spring 2019 where a family service will be planned.
