Huff, G. Barry Age 67 of Mpls., MN passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 after a 6 year battle with blood cancer. Barry's friends and family describe him as a man of integrity, grace, courage, and faith. Barry retired as senior vice president of marketing and communications for the National Marrow Donor Program. He was the past president of Glory Foods, Inc. and held many other executive positions in the food business. In his early career, Barry was a teacher and coach. He continued to coach and mentor throughout his life. In addition to an illustrious career, Barry was considered a humble servant to his community. He was a member of the Board of Trustees at Grinnell College and served various non-profit organizations, including Guthrie Theater Foundation, Eden Programs Inc., Park Ave. Youth and Family Services, Sabathani Community Center, Mixed Blood Theater, American Cancer Society, and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Above all else, family was most important. He is survived by Wife, Becky; Daughter, Halle; Sister, Gisele; who were his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Betty Huff; sister, Jeanette Hankerson. A Celebration of Barry's Life will be held 11AM, Saturday, January 5th at Sanctuary Covenant Church, 710 Broadway Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55411. There will be a visitation Friday, January 4th at Sanctuary Covenant Church from 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers, Barry's family is creating a memorial scholarship fund at Grinnell College.
