I applaud the opponents of high-voltage power lines ("Mammoth high-voltage plan alarms residents," April 11). Here at last is action on climate change: No power lines, less electricity, lower carbon dioxide emissions, reduced global warming. Indeed, if we continue to enforce the "not-in-my-backyard" principle universally, we won't be able to export our environmental woes to other people and, thereby, will truly achieve sustainability.
