In 2008, the Jockey Club created the Equine Injury Database to collect info on fatal racing injuries to thoroughbreds. The group hopes the data will shed more light on breakdowns. Canterbury Park is among the 113 North American tracks included in the database. The first chart shows racing fatality figures for all participating tracks from 2014-2018. The second shows figures for Canterbury Park.
