Hoos on first

Hoos on first Vintage or new, on home accessories or cheap costume jewelry, owls are omnipresent right now. It's difficult to say why, though maybe it's the legacy of the enchanting, snowy Hedwig, who delivered letters and a lifetime of service to Harry Potter.

It also helps that owl anatomy exemplifies pattern repetition (round eyes inside a round face atop a roundish body). That's just the kind of thing that captures the imagination of designers who toil over drawing boards trying to come up with new ways to entice us.

It is often illegal to keep owls and other birds of prey as pets. But there's no law against keeping them as a tea set.
