Clay Aiken on TV

The singer has somewhat of an Anglophile bent.

After his stint on Broadway in "Monty Python's Spamalot," "American Idol" runner-up Clay Aiken, who performs Saturday at the State Theatre, has become something of an Anglophile when it comes to drama on television.

"There's just something about the quality of acting and storytelling, in general, on British TV series. The production quality on shows like 'Luther' and 'Downton Abbey' is better than films. And British actors are incredible at their craft."
