Chapman, Sara of Minneapolis passed away peacefully October 15, 2020 at the age of 55 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Sara was born April 9, 1965 in Utica, New York to Edward and Denise Chapman. Sara graduated from Shattuck-St. Mary's School and the College of St. Benedict with an English degree. Throughout her career she worked at many large corporations, including UnitedHealth Group, and Target Corp. In her final job at U.S. Bank, she was a business technology analyst. Sara was a kind and gentle soul with a quirky sense of humor. The beautiful greeting cards she sent to friends and family evoked both laughter and tears. Whether it was a birthday card, sympathy card, or just a friendly letter, her touching and elegant prose uplifted heart and spirit. Sara was a voracious reader with a passion for literature and journaling. A devout Catholic, she was an active parishioner at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Minneapolis. Sara is survived by her brother E.J. (Alyce) Chapman, sisters Maura Chapman, and Deirdre Kaiser and her nephew Daniel (Karyssa) and nieces Daisy and Daphne. Sara is grateful to the fellowship of Gilda's Club Twin Cities and in lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Gilda's. Visitation at 9:30 AM on Saturday, November 7, service to follow at 10 AM at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 215 S. 8th Street, Minneapolis.
