The Grizzlies reached an agreement in principle with Staples, Minn., native Dave Joerger to elevate him from assistant to head coach, ESPN reported Monday.
Joerger, who has spent the past six seasons on the Grizzlies' bench, will succeed former boss Lionel Hollins.
Joerger graduated from Staples-Motley in 1992 and then played at Moorhead State before beginning his coaching career.
