Tight end Kellen Davis probably isn't upset that his Bears are on the road this week. With a fumble and two drops in last week's 13-6 loss to the Texans at home, Davis is not exactly a fan favorite. He was even booed when he got hurt while dropping a high throw that would have been a big gain late in the game. "It's definitely not fun, but it's part of this game," he said. "We have great fans, and I hope not to mess up in the future."

The Lions remain the only team in the league without a rush of 20 yards or more. But they continue trying to establish the run to relieve pressure on their passing game. Some argue that's the reason they've been outscored 52-28 in the first quarter. Said offensive coordinator Scott Linehan: "Until we prove we can hit the home run [in the running game], [defenses are like], 'That's a win because [receiver] Calvin Johnson doesn't get the ball.'"

Not that the Packers need much of a running game to complement Aaron Rodgers, but it appears James Starks is getting closer to his form from the past two seasons. With Cedric Benson (foot) out until at least Dec. 9, Starks should come out of last week's bye with a bigger role now that he's fully recovered from a turf-toe injury that sidelined him the first five games of the season. "He's getting back to where he was in camp," Packers running backs coach Alex Van Pelt told the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
