The Twins signed Jordan Pacheco, who has played in 377 major league games, to a minor league contract.
In 2012, he played in 132 games for the Rockies and hit .309 with five home runs and 55 RBI and was sixth in the National League rookie of the year voting.
The 31-year-old utility man played in the independent Atlantic League last season for Long Island. Most of his major league time in the field has been at first base and third base.
He has played in the major leagues with Arizona, Cincinnati and Colorado and is a career .297 minor league hitter.
