Gophers defensive tackle Ra'Shede Hageman accepted an invitation to play in the Senior Bowl, an annual showcase for players heading into the NFL draft.
According to the Gophers, Hageman is the team's first representative in the Senior Bowl since Mark Setterstrom in 2006. This year's game will be played on Jan. 25, at 3 p.m. in Mobile, Ala., and will be televised on NFL Network.

• Gophers senior Austin Hollins has been named the Big Ten player of the week for men's basketball. Hollins had 20 points and 14 rebounds in a 75-59 victory over South Dakota State and went over 1,000 career points.
