Kelly Terry, Kelly Seeler, Rachel Ramsey and Emily West scored goals as the Gophers women's hockey team beat host Minnesota State Mankato 4-1.Seeler broke a 1-1 tie with 69 seconds to play in the second period, scoring her second goal of the season for the Gophers (22-4-2, 16-4-2 WCHA), not long after Lauren Zrust's power-play goal for the Mavericks (7-21, 3-19) tied the score at 1-1.

Ramsey and West added power-play goals in the third period for the Gophers.

U wrestlers visit Iowa The No. 3 Gophers wrestling team visits No. 5 Iowa at 3 p.m. Sunday, a dual that will be televised by the Big Ten Network.

The Gophers beat Michigan 23-15 at home Friday. Iowa is coming off back-to-back losses at Ohio State (21-9) and No. 1 Penn State (22-12).

The Hawkeyes lead the all-time series against the Gophers 68-25-1, which dates to 1921. The Gophers' last victory against Iowa was at Carver Hawkeye Arena on Feb. 18, 2007, when the Gophers beat the Hawkeyes 29-13.

At 125 pounds, No. 1 Zach Sanders (Gophers) will take on No. 2 Matt McDonough (Iowa) for the fifth time in their careers, with McDonough leading the all-time series 4-0.

U stars in 800 Gophers runners Harun Abda and David Pachuta each hit NCAA automatic qualifying times in the 800 meters at the Bill Bergan Invitational in Ames, Iowa. Abda took first in 1:46.97, .01 seconds ahead of Pachuta. It's the top two times in school history. "These guys are the fastest in the country right now," coach Steve Plasencia said.

Etc. • The Gophers women's swimming and diving team stayed unbeaten after claiming three victories at the Big Ten Quad Duals at the University Aquatic Center. The Gophers won seven of 10 events in beating Wisconsin 238-128, Illinois 314.5-51.5 and Purdue 253-118.

• The Gophers men's swimming and diving team won five of 10 events on the final day of the Big Ten Triple Duals at the University Aquatic Center. The Gophers defeated Wisconsin 243-104 and Purdue 191.5-161.5.

• The Gophers women's tennis team beat Creighton 7-0 at the Baseline Tennis Center, giving it back-to-back shutout victories to open a season for the first time in program history.

• Despite a season-high score, the Gophers women's gymnastics team lost at home to No. 9 Penn State 195.475-195.150.
