Wild players continue to drop.
Jarod Palmer, in the same game he scored his first NHL goal, was hit while falling and went face first into the boards between the benches Thursday against Edmonton.
Now he's out and immediately placed on injured reserve, meaning it's at least serious enough that the Wild knows he'll miss the minimum week. Jed Ortmeyer has been recalled from AHL Houston.
We'll meet with coach Mike Yeo before the game, so hopefully we have a further update on Palmer. I'd assume now Ortmeyer plays and Colton Gillies is again scratched. I'd assume Mike Lundin is again scratched on the blue line, and Niklas Backstrom starts. If there's any update before the game, I'll update the blog.
