7 p.m. vs. INDY ELEVEN • NSC, Blaine • Ch. 45, ESPN3

Preview: Alone atop the North American Soccer League spring season standings, Minnesota must avoid a letdown against Indy Eleven, an expansion team searching for its first victory. “Now that we’re at the top, I think we have a target on our back,” defender Justin Davis said. “Everyone’s going to be bringing their best game, so we’ll have to stay even more switched on.”

United FC at a glance: Minnesota’s depth prevailed last week in a 1-0 victory against Edmonton FC. Floyd Franks replaced injured Juliano Vicentini and the center midfield remained stingy. Simone Bracalello came off the bench to score the lone goal of the match. Perhaps Minnesota’s chief concern is handling its own success. A meeting next week with defending champion New York looms, but United must keep its focus. “The guys are aware Indiana has a lot of good players who are no doubt looking for their first win in franchise history,” coach Manny Lagos said. “So it sets up a tough game for us.”

Indy Eleven at a glance: Central midfielder Kléberson is the first name in Indy Eleven (0-1-2) soccer. In 2002, he was a member of the Brazilian team that won the World Cup. Striker Mike Ambersley, who played for United last season, scored the first goal in Indy franchise history.
