Lookbook: Hackwith Design House launches line of basics
- August 8, 2014 - 11:54 AM
Every Monday, Minneapolis designer Lisa Hackwith releases a limited number of new handmade pieces through her website, hackwithdesignhouse.com. The garments lure customers in with their flattering fits and calming colors. The aesthetic is approachable yet stylish in a way that earns compliments — with which you might respond, “Oh, this old thing?”
The best (and worst) part is that Hackwith makes 25 or fewer of each piece. So if you’re lucky enough to snag one of her tie-dyed frocks, you’re not likely to find someone else in town wearing the same thing.
With the recent surge of growth and attention to her business, Hackwith said it’s time to add some basics to her collection to complement her small-batch designs. These shirts, dresses and tanks will always be in stock on her website and will be available in black and off-white, with other colors offered seasonally. Prices range from $75 for a tank to $130 for a kimono. Look for HDH Basics online starting Aug. 25.
