Crews rescue woman from old Chisholm mine pit

CHSIHOLM, Minn. — Crews have rescued a 30-year-old woman who apparently fell off a cliff of an old mine pit in Chisholm in northeastern Minnesota.
The Hibbing Daily Tribune (http://bit.ly/1lj5YXU) reports the woman fell about 100 feet down Monday.
Chisholm Police Chief Vern Manner says the victim was recovered around 4:30 p.m. and brought up the hill of the cliff. She was being airlifted to a Duluth hospital.
Authorities say the woman had serious injuries.
