For the second straight weekend, commuters will encounter a closure on Crosstown Hwy. 62.
The highway will be closed in both directions at Hwy. 169 from 10 p.m. Friday until noon Sunday as crews begin building the new overpass for southbound Hwy. 169.
The Crosstown closure is in addition to the closure already in place on southbound Hwy. 169 between the Crosstown and Valley View Road. That closure is in place until July 3.
During the Crosstown closure, westbound motorists will be detoured onto northbound Hwy.169 to I-394, then west to I-494 and then south to Hwy. 169.
Eastbound motorists should use eastbound 494 to northbound Hwy. 100 to by pass the area.
Another closure affecting the area will be the ramp to southbound Hwy. 169 from Valley View Road. That ramp will close at noon Sunday and remain closed until July 3.
Other weekend traffic closures

The ramp from southbound 35E to Victoria Street and from northbound 35E to Victoria are now closed. They will reopen on June 16.
Lakeville drivers, be ready for the road work that MnDOT has been advertising along I-35 between County Roads 50 and 70. The freeway will go down to a single lane at 10 p.m. Sunday evening and remain in that configuration with traffic shifted to the northbound lanes.
The ramps from Hwy. 50 to southbound I-35 and the ramp from southbound I-35 to County Road 60 (185th Street) will be closed.
In Rogers, southbound Hwy. 101 will be closed from 147th Street and S. Diamond Lake Road as part of the reconstruction of the 144th Street intersection.
