Preview: The Wild ended a 9-4-1 January with a 5-4 loss Thursday at Colorado. The Wild is 1-1-1 on its four-game trip. … The Flames have won a season-high four in a row, all on home ice. The Wild is 8-4 in its past 12 at Calgary after a 3-18-4 run there.
Players to watch: Wild LW Zach Parise, named captain of the U.S. Olympic team Friday, has three goals and four assists in the past two games. C Mikael Granlund has seven points during a four-game point streak, and RW Jason Pominville has three goals and six points during a four-game point streak. C Kyle Brodziak is minus-7 the past four games. Flames LW Michael Cammalleri, likely trade bait before the March 5 deadline, is expected to return from a concussion. C Sean Monahan is tied for 11th among rookies with 22 points. C Jiri Hudler leads with 42 points.
Numbers: The Flames rank 28th in the NHL in goals per game (2.30), 28th in shots per game (26.7) and 28th in goals against per game (3.09). … Calgary’s power play ranks 25th (14.6 percent).
