One man was killed and another critically injured Sunday evening as they were crossing Portland Avenue at 64th Street in Richfield and were hit by a vehicle.
The two men were crossing in a non-crosswalk area shortly after 6 p.m. when they were struck by a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old woman.
A 63-year-old Richfield resident was dead at the scene. The second pedestrian, a 55-year-old man who also lives in Richfield, was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center where police said he was in critical but semi-stable condition Monday morning.
The driver stopped at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No further details were available.
