Hot and muggy will give way to cooler temps in the Twin Cities
- September 9, 2013 - 9:50 PM
Unseasonably hot weather pushed Monday’s high temperature in the Twin Cities to 94 degrees, just shy of tying the 95-degree record for the date set in 1947.
But the misery factory was ratcheted up when the heat and humidity combined to make it feel like 99 degrees by early evening.
Relief is on the way, with high temperatures forecast to fall into the 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday and to more seasonable temperatures later in the week with highs in the 60s and 70s.
