Lynx rout Mystics in preseason opener

All 11 Lynx players who got into the game scored in a 74-57 victory over the Washington Mystics on Saturday in an exhibition game in Bismarck, N.D.
Three Lynx starters were in double figures — Monica Wright with 16 points, Rebekkah Brunson with 12 and Maya Moore with 10 — as was reserve forward Rachel Jarry with 11. Jarry, a 6-1 Australian, was 3-for-4 from the field, made all five of her free throws
The Lynx have won five exhibition games in a row, going back two years.
The Lynx shot 44.4 percent to the Mystics’ 37.3 percent, and they got to the foul line much more often. Minnesota was 23-for- 30 on free throws, Washington 11-for-12.
Center Kia Vaughn led the Mystics with 10 points and had seven rebounds. Tayler Hill, a rookie guard from Ohio State who grew up in Minneapolis, played a team-high 26-plus minutes but didn’t score. She was 0-for-9 from the field but did tie Vaughn’s game-high of seven rebounds.
Another big difference came in steals. The Lynx had 16, six by Moore, the Mystics had four total.
Janel McCarville, in her first game since being traded to the Lynx, had four points.
