Congratulations to the Gopher women's hockey team for a perfect season with a fantastic finish, beating both Boston teams in the playoffs!

It was great to know that the game at Ridder Arena was sold out; however, for those of us not there, we'd like to know why we couldn't have seen this record-setting feat on TV. We watched an overburdened transmission on our computer, so didn't miss out entirely.

But who is responsible for the decision not to televise any of these games and playoffs? Is it the university? The TV stations? The sponsors? We'd have paid for "pay-per-view" if it had been offered.

Come on, guys. Women play the real game of hockey without the fights. Wait a minute … is that why it's not worth broadcasting?
