For anyone who hasn't been paying attention, there is a Craft Brewery in the East Metro that has been formulating some great tasting brews. Lift Bridge Brewing Company is the first brewery located in scenic Stillwater, Minnesota since the pre-prohibition Joseph Wolf Brewery. They are hosting a special event on Saturday commemorating the release of their bourbon barrel aged Commander Barleywine. The event will feature live music, a bags tournament, a mustache contest, Lift Bridge beer for purchase, and food trucks that will be slinging some tasty fare. The event's namesake English style ale will be sold in 750 ml bottles at $15 dollars per bottle with a limit of 6 per person and would certainly make an excellent holiday gift for any beer lover. To get into the event you will need to purchase tickets during normal taproom hours which are Thursday and Friday 5-8 PM and on Saturday 2-5 PM. Tickets are $10 dollars, but you do not have to purchase tickets to get into the event if you are just purchasing beer. About Lift Bridge: Lift Bridge began brewing about 4 years ago and was founded by five guys who shared a passion for making great beer. Lift Bridge began contract brewing first at Flat Earth Brewery in St. Paul and then at Cold Spring Brewery—brewing and bottling their flagship offerings of Farm Girl, a Farmhouse Ale and Crosscut Pale Ale which is an American Style Pale Ale. Eventually Cold Spring decided that they needed to focus on their own beer production so Lift Bridge took to finding their own space to brew. They are now settled in at their current location in scenic Stillwater, Minnesota filling growlers and serving beer in their new taproom. They currently offer brewery tours at 1PM and 3PM on Saturdays. Where: 1900 Tower Drive Stillwater, MN 55082 Date and Time: Saturday, November 19th from 3-8 PM Cheers!
