Did somebody say Vikings special session?

With Gov. Mark Dayton wanting a special legislative session for a new Minnesota Vikings stadium, there may be a line forming to also get on the agenda.
The Arc Minnesota, a health care non-profit, wants the DFL governor to also use a special session to reverse a 20 percent cut in pay to personal care attendants who provide direct care to relatives with disabilities. The provision was included in legislation earlier this year, which was signed by Dayton.
“If it’s an emergency for us to address the Vikings issue, it’s certainly as big of an emergency to address the pain that these family members are going through,” said Mike Gude, a spokesman for The Arc Minnesota. “An unfair cut in wages is certainly, you know, as great an emergency as any other issue, including the Vikings stadium.”
Gude said the group had not yet received a commitment from Dayton. The governor has said that before he calls a special session – he said he wants one before Thanksgiving -- he wants an agreement with legislators on what issues would be discussed.
