We should vote on a constitutional amendment declaring that the state Constitution cannot be amended.
Our legislators were elected to make decisions that reflect the needs of our time. Republicans know how unpopular their decisions will be once the full ramifications become evident, so they are trying to shut the door to changing them later.
If legislative bodies take this up as a regular practice, there won't be much of a point to having a Constitution at all.
